MOSTAR, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

STARI MOST AND BEYOND

Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s historic heart breathes through striking views of its resilient stone landmarks split by the emerald Neretva River, capturing the sweeping curves of the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge) arching high above the water, alongside the smaller, stone-arched Kriva ćuprija Bridge. The minarets of the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque and the Nezir-Aga Mosque pierce the skyline, watching over the cobblestone alleys of the Old Bazaar Kujundžiluk filled with artisan shops. Intimate scenes reveal the local character of the Old Town, from traditional storefronts like the Sadrvan Restaurant to weathered buildings, intricate Arabic script, quiet cemeteries, and a solemn Balkan Wars memorial stone.
